”My grandfather planted the first vines in the 70s, a small plot that still produces our Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC and our select Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG. From here, Bossanova was born and has since evolved into who we are today.”
Andrea Quaglia
Our vineyards are located in the hills just above sea level, with the Adriatic Sea on one side and the Gran Sasso d’Italia on the other. These boundaries create a particular microclimate perfect for high-quality viticulture.
We work hard to preserve the heritage and history of Abruzzo by acquiring vineyards from those who are no longer able to care for them. It’s a privilege to be able to keep their traditions alive and share what makes this region special with the world.
Controguerra and our vineyards are located within the DOCG Colline Teramane, famous for it’s Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and its biodiversity. This important land hosts vineyards large and small alike, but together we harmonize to perform for the same rich symphony of Abruzzo.
The landscape alone makes this area truly unique. You can simultaneously admire snow-capped peaks and a turquoise sea, with olive groves and vineyards between as far as the eye can see.
